The Drama League may have been born in 1916, but it far from stuffy--in fact, the venerable institution is showed off its sexier side when it honored hot power couple Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas on February 9. The black-tie affair was called A Musical Celebration of Broadway and was hosted by Broadway vet Jerry Orbach at the Grand Ballroom of the Pierre Hotel. And grand it was indeed! Griffith made her Broadway debut in Chicago earlier this year just across the street from Banderas' debut in Nine, so you can imagine how many stars came out to honor the pair. (And what a thrill to see former honoree Chita Rivera rubbing elbows with her former Nine cohort, Banderas, as well as Orbach from her Chicago days!) Photos
