Elegies Opens at Lincoln Center
Elegies: A Song Cycle, a new show about mourning and remembrance, finds William Finn returning to Lincoln Center, which has served as an artisitic home for the talented composer/lyricist. Elegies opened on March 24 with a top-notch musical theater cast singing songs that tell stories about people that Finn has known and lost. Director Graciele Daniele, the fab performers, and Finn celebrated the opening of the somber musical in the spacious lobby of Lincoln Center.
