Kate Mulgrew may play a fastidious administrator in Equus, but on September 20, the former Captain Kathryn Janeway from Star Trek: Voyager proved she knew how to let her hair down and throw a fine house party. The place: Mulgrew’s apartment on the Upper West Side. The occasion: to exhibit the work of her son, painter Alec Egan. The guest list: more than a few Equus cast members, including star Richard Griffiths and the dashing Lorenzo Pisoni, who does double duty in the show as the Young Horseman and as the lead horse, Nugget.
