Ethan Coen’s Offices Starts the Rat Race at Atlantic Theater Company

You’d think a Hollywood player with as many Academy Awards and acclaimed films on his shelf as Ethan Coen would take a few days off here and there. Instead, the director and scribe hit the office…or Offices, his newly penned night of one-acts, to be more specific. Coen’s newest stage production made its debut at Atlantic Theater Company May 7, bringing the Tinsel Town regular right into the heart of New York City for a change of pace. The night of three short plays reunited the hard-working writer with a few of his Almost an Evening (Coen’s debut stage work, which premiered at Atlantic last season) alums, including F. Murray Abraham (a fellow Oscar winner, by the way), Joey Slotnick, Mary McCann and more than a half dozen new faces happy to punch in for the slightly twisted comic take on the office rat race.
