Everything's Coming Up Roses for Gypsy
Curtain up indeed! Tony Award winner Patti LuPone and the rest of the Gypsy company were on top of the world as they opened their revival on March 27. After the triumphant performance at the St. James Theatre, the cast and many sharp-dressed guests headed to Mansion, a giant club in Chelsea, to celebrate. Headliner LuPone, who plays iconic unrelenting stage mother Momma Rose, received warm greetings from her director Arthur Laurents, who also wrote the book to Gypsy. Needless to say, there were plenty of eggrolls for everyone. Check out the fun at this jubilant gathering!
