Although the eagerly-anticipated original cast reunion of Merrily We Roll Along isn't happening until next Monday, the cast of the show got together on September 27 at Musical Theater Works to catch up and relearn the complicated Sondheim score. Thankfully, they all seemed to remember the music and lyrics by heart once musical director Paul Gemignini started taking them through the paces of the title song. Original cast member Lonny Price, the guy who pulled this all together (and wrote a great account of the original production ), was on hand along with fellow castmate Jason Alexander, who will serve as host of the reunion (To get tickets to the show, call Musical Theatre Works at 212-677-0040).
