First-Time Tony Noms Haydn Gwynne, Marin Ireland and Jennifer Damiano Get Glam

Here's the best part of being up for a Tony: getting glam! That’s why we couldn’t resist tagging along with three first-time nominees—Billy Elliot’s Haydn Gwynne, Reasons to Be Pretty’s Marin Ireland and Next to Normal’s Jennifer Damiano—as they dropped in on designer showrooms and high-end jewelers in search of the perfect dress and the best accessories. (Sorry, guys—watching you get your inseam measured just isn’t as thrilling as looking at $100,000 worth of diamonds.) Gwynne tried on gowns at Randi Rahm (she made the $2.5 million diamond-encrusted gown ET host Maria Menounos wore at the 2004 Oscars) and jewelry at Verdura; Ireland went to Marc Bouwer, who’s outfitted, among others, a former Soprano, a Desperate Housewife and a Heroic cheerleader; Damiano shopped for diamonds at—where else?—Fred Leighton. We’re not saying this is what these ladies will be wearing on Tony night. Hey, a girl’s got to shop around!
