New York University's Tisch School of the Arts has produced an extraordinary volume of artists over the years. Indeed, there's only one school in the country that can boast of training of the former Artistic Director of the Public Theater, the writer of
Angels in America as well as the star of
Desperate Housewives. And that's precisely who was honored on December 4 at the St. James Theatre in the gala event
Tisch on Broadway, which celebrated the accomplishments of, respectively, George C. Wolfe, Tony Kushner and Felicity Huffman. Also including a tribute to the Chairman of the Shubert Organization, Gerald Schoenfeld,
Tisch was mc'd by eight-time Oscar host (and one-time NYU grad) Billy Crystal, whose own experience on the Great White Way a couple of seasons ago with
