Gimme a Cast for Hair! Broadway Hippies Head Into Rehearsal

Broadway is headed back to the (hippie) future this spring, and the 26 talented and enthusiastic young actors who will star in Hair headed into rehearsal on January 30, five weeks before beginning previews at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. But first, they took the stage at the Union Square Theatre to preview the revival’s opening number, with new cast member Sasha Allen as Dionne leading the Tribe in a beautifully sung “Aquarius.” Adding to the excitement was the presence of Hair creators Galt MacDermot and James Rado.
