Hairspray's Fierstein Honored by Primary Stages

Harvey Fierstein was the man of the hour at the Primary Stages Annual Benefit on November 10 at Tavern on the Green. Hairspray cast members serenaded and (gently) roasted Tony winner Fierstein, who was honored by the prestigious off-Broadway company for "his brilliant contribution to the American Theatre." The evening also featured a silent auction with plenty of Broadway theater tickets, dinners, sports memorabilia and a pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes worn (and autographed) by Sarah Jessica Parker of Sex and the City. Here's hoping the winner has the same size feet as the petite Miss Parker!
