Hip Hoppin' Uptown, In the Heights Boogies Outta Downtown Gig
It won your votes as 2007's Favorite New Off-Broadway Musical in the Broadway.com Audience Awards, but before Lin-Manuel Miranda's In the Heights can move to an uptown theater (yet to be announced), it kinda, sorta had to finish up business downtown first. Concluding its run at 37 Arts on Sunday, July 15, we caught a final off-Broadway glimpse of the Heights company—and their many supporters, including Annabella Sciorra and Rosie Perez—as they packed up their dressing rooms and prepared to take the trip to Broadway.
