In an All-Star Concert, Community Declares "Broadway's Back!"
Celebrating the end of the dispute between the League of American Theaters and Producers and the Broadway stagehands union Local One, a free concert entitled Broadway's Back!, starring the casts of dozens of Broadway's strike-closed shows (and some not), was held at the Marquis Theatre (home of the hit musical The Drowsy Chaperone) on Friday, November 30. Hosted by the legendary stars Angela Lansbury and Bernadette Peters, with MC duties expertly handled by Drowsy's original Tony Award-winning Man in Chair Bob Martin, the event was a rousing community cheerleading parade that reintroduced those we love on the Great White Way with a cumulative shout: Broadway's Back!
