In Rehearsal with Never Gonna Dance
We had a chance to check out a rehearsal of Never Gonna Dance on October 9 at City Stage, and it got our toes tappin' and our fingers snappin'! The new tuner, directed by Michael Greif and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, is both a celebration of one of the great American composers, Jerome Kern, and a fab dance musical set in the romantic world of a mythical New York City. The story begins with John "Lucky" Garnett, a professional dance, coming to Manhattan in order to prove his worth to his fiancee's father by attempting to earn $25,000 by any means… except dancing.
