In the Heights Brings Rhythm and Rhyme to the Recording Studio
It's not easy to sing and smile at the same time, so you have to hand it to the cast of the new hit musical In The Heights; they managed both tasks effortlessly at a recent recording session. We caught up with the Heights family, including leading man and composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, director Thomas Kail and book writer Quiara Alegria Hudes, on March 24 at Legacy Recording Studios as they laid down tracks for their upcoming cast album. The score, complete with its hip-hop sound and Latin rhythms, is set to be featured on two discs, which will be released on the Ghostlight label on June 3.
