Rooms, a new musical that takes a look at the relationship between two struggling songwriters during the punk era, is about to explode on the theater scene. Innovative composer Paul Scott Goodman, known for the musical Brights Lights, Big City, wrote the music and lyrics and co-wrote the book with his wife and frequent collaborator, Miriam. The two-person show follows the relationship of the outrageous Monica (who "longs to see every room in the world") and introverted Ian (who "longs to stay in his" room) from Glasgow to London to New York City. Do they clash to strains of... well, The Clash? Sort of. But along the way, there's romance, laughs and a seriously rockin' score.
