Janel Moloney & Lois Smith Open 100 Saints at Playwrights Horizons

On Tuesday, September 18, the esteemed Playwrights Horizons theater company opened their first production of the season with Kate Fodor's new drama 100 Saints You Should Know, directed by Ethan McSweeny. Telling the tale of a small group of people in search of spiritual meaning, Saints boasts the return to the New York boards of the Obie Award-winning stage great Lois Smith (The Trip to Bountiful), as well as the off-Broadway debut of The West Wing TV star (and recent Broadway.com Fresh Face) Janel Moloney. After the opening night curtain calls, we happily joined Saints' leading ladies, their co-stars Zoe Kazan, Jeremy Shamos and Will Rogers, plus a host of Playwrights Horizons' alums for a toast at the West Bank Café, directly across the road from the theater's residence on West 42nd Street.
