Jeff Daniels & Alison Pill Set Blackbird in Flight at City Center
At the City Center Stage One on April 10, the Manhattan Theatre Club opened their latest subscriber-based offering, David Harrower's Olivier Award-winning new drama Blackbird, which finds film star Jeff Daniels (The Squid and the Whale) in a rare New York stage appearance and The Lieutenant of Inishmore's Tony nominated young actress Alison Pill in a psychological tug-of-war over the remnant damage of childhood sexual abuse. As directed by two-time Tony winner Joe Mantello (Wicked), the production runs through June 10. After the opening night curtains calls, we caught the cast party. Check it out.
