Laura Bell Bundy Bids Farewell to Legally Blonde
Broadway's original "Daughter of Delta Nu," Legally Blonde star Laura Bell Bundy, has been used to perkily living center stage as endearing Elle Woods since the show's opening in April 2007. On July 20, 2008, the fair-haired sorority queen stepped center stage in her character's patented pink for the last time, bidding Legally Blonde a tearful adieu after nearly 500 (491, to be exact) performances. Bundy broke down during her final curtain call, choking up as she thanked the riotous fans at the Palace Theatre for making her Blonde experience "So Much Better" than she could have imagined. Once the tears dried and the goodbyes were completed, Bundy and the entire Legally Blonde company headed to Spotlight Live for a midsummer night's evening of celebration in honor of the departing star.
