LCT's Opening of Importance

A Man of No Importance, the highly anticipated piece by Ragtime collaborators Terrence McNally, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, opened on October 10 at Lincoln Center's Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater. Based on the 1994 movie of the same title, Importance tells the story of a middle-aged bus driver dealing with his homosexuality. After the opening night curtain fell, creators and cast celebrated Dublin-style with an Irish-accented party in the Lincoln Center lobby.
