After a month-long search, the producers of Movin' Out (as well as sponsor Washington Mutual Bank) narrowed down their search for pianists/singers from hundreds to ten finalists, who gathered together on the stage of the Richard Rodgers on November 18. After watching all of the finalists perform, celebrity judges Cindy Adams, WPLJ's Scott and Todd and Movin' Out producer James L. Nederlander crowned a winner: Miche Braden of East Orange, New Jersey. Now, Braden will get to play "New York State of Mind" in an actual performance of the hit show on January 15, 2004. Congrats Miche!
