Funnyman Mike Birbiglia premiered his new work, Sleepwalk with Me, at off-Broadway’s Bleeker Street Theatre on November 11. A one-man show based on his lifelong experiences with sleepwalking, the performance aims to hit one in the gut as much as tickle the funny bone. Notable first-nighters included the Tony Award-winning troika of Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick and the divine Andrea Martin. Lane was there because he is one of the producers of the show. As for Broderick and Martin, well, like Birbiglia, they know a thing or two about comedy. And just like the rest of us, they could probably use a good laugh on a weeknight.
