Opening Night for Hasselhoff! The Producers Arrives in Las Vegas
Once they'd conquered Broadway, there was only one place big enough for Bialystock & Bloom of The Producers: Vegas, baby! A streamlined version of Mel Brooks' hit musical opened in Sin City at the Paris Las Vegas on February 9, with David Hasselhoff merrily urging audiences to "Keep It Gay" as director Roger DeBris. Before the big night, Hasselhoff, Brooks and the show's Tony-winning director, Susan Stroman, schmoozed with the press. After the performance, the company and some of Las Vegas' familiar faces partied at the hotel. Naturally, Broadway.com made the scene and captured all the festivities.
