Parker, She Wrote? Angela Lansbury Graces Broadway Benefit for the Acting Company

With A Chorus Line dark for the night, the Schoenfeld Theatre was lit quite bright with another singularly sensational performance on Sunday, November 5, when a starry cast of five took to the stage in a benefit for the Acting Company, reading works by the famed Algonquin Round Table wit Dorothy Parker. Headlined by four-time Tony Award winner Angela Lansbury, and co-starring Broadway veterans Lynn Collins (The Women), Lisa Banes (High Society) and Tony winners Harriet Harris (Thoroughly Modern Millie) and Boyd Gaines (12 Angry Men), the presentation, entitled This is on Me, An Evening of Dorothy Parker, was created and staged by Tom Fontana (the Emmy-winning writer/producer of Oz) and sponsored by the Shubert Organization and Sony Corporation.
