With
A Chorus Line dark for the night, the Schoenfeld Theatre was lit quite bright with another singularly sensational performance on Sunday, November 5, when a starry cast of five took to the stage in a benefit for the Acting Company, reading works by the famed Algonquin Round Table wit Dorothy Parker. Headlined by four-time Tony Award winner Angela Lansbury, and co-starring Broadway veterans Lynn Collins (
The Women), Lisa Banes (
High Society) and Tony winners Harriet Harris (
Thoroughly Modern Millie) and Boyd Gaines (
12 Angry Men), the presentation, entitled
This is on Me, An Evening of Dorothy Parker, was created and staged by Tom Fontana (the Emmy-winning writer/producer of
Oz) and sponsored by the Shubert Organization and Sony Corporation. Click on to check out one class-A night on Broadway.
