Past, Present and Future Spring Awakening Stars Say Goodbye and Hello!
Call it the Spring Awakening all-star reunion blowout: cast members and alums from the Tony Award-winning musical filled Serafina on July 19 for a big farewell/welcome bash. Which mean bidding adieu to the last of the show's original Broadway cast (Skylar Astin, Lilli Cooper, Brian Charles Johnson, Phoebe Strole and Remy Zaken), saying bon voyage to the company that is preparing to hit the road and offering a hearty bonjour to the new players coming to the Eugene O'Neill Theatre. Original cast members Lea Michele, Tony winner John Gallagher Jr. and Jonathan B. Wright made appearances, as did director Michael Mayer. (Jonathan Groff, who was counting down to the first previews of Hair, couldn't make it.) It may have been a hot summer night outside, but inside, this Spring get-together felt like a breath of fresh air. Check it out!
