Peeking in on Purlie at Encores!

Purlie, the musical version of Ossie Davis' 1961 play Purlie Victorious, is being presented by Encores! with a starry cast. Blair Underwood, Lillias White, Anika Noni Rose, John Cullum and Doug E. Doug top the cast list of this exciting musical. We hightailed it City Center on March 30 to peek in on a dress rehearsal and catch up with the cast and some of that performance's distinguished guests.
