Off-Broadway’s Primary Stages hits a major milestone this year, namely its 25th Anniversary! The company kicked off a grand birthday celebration in style on July 21, throwing a gala reception in conjunction with luxury retailer Saks Fifth Avenue at the store’s flagship Fifth Avenue location café. Among the many attendees out to support Primary were Tony Award winning director Daniel Sullivan, the cast and creatives behind season opener A Lifetime Burning, and a pack of Primary veterans including David Margulies, Tina Howe, David Canry, Penny Fuller and many more. Founder Casey Childs was among the cheeriest of guests, smiling as she watched her brainchild thrive after a quarter-century of hard work. Primary Stages officially begins its silver anniversary season when A Lifetime Burning takes the stage at 59E59 Theater July 28 for previews, but you can wish them well now by clicking on for photos from the event itself!
