Radiant Baby Gets Ready for Birth at Public

A new George C. Wolfe musical is always an event, so the open rehearsal of Radiant Baby at the Public Theater was filled with press types looking for a sneak peek at the new project. The show takes audiences back to 1980s New York City and the life of street artist Keith Haring (who died of AIDS at the age of 31). The show is the work of composer/co-lyricist Debra Barsha, librettist/co-lyricist Stuart Ross and co-lyricist Ira Gasman, suggested by Keith Haring: The Authorized Biography by John Gruen. Performances start at the Public Theater on January 31.
