Rent Welcomes Joey Fatone
The addition of 'N Sync's Joey Fatone to the cast of Rent gave the award-winning tuner a shot in the arm this week. Sure, the show has its share of excitable fans, but the high-pitched screams emanating from the Nederlander Theatre on August 28 (Fatone's opening night) were a brand new kind of mania for the long-running musical. 'N Sync heartthrobs Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez cheered on Fatone and the cast from the audience--as did a host of celebrities and original Rent cast members. The Rent company and invited guests marched through the rain (well, there was a limo or two) to Planet Hollywood for a thrilling party (and more screams from the throngs of fans outside).
