Even though
Rob Marshall is a hotshot movie director with Oscar nominations up the wazoo and his hit film adaptation of
Chicago about to top $100 million at the box office, he hasn't forgotten his home: Broadway! And Broadway--in the form of legendary theater hangout Sardi's--hasn't forgotten him! The director/choreographer was honored for his contributions to the Great White Way (from the hit revival of
Cabaret to
Kiss of the Spiderwoman and
Damn Yankees) with a coveted caricature. The unveiling of the newest addition to the Sardi's gallery took place at a V.I.P. private party with the likes of Richard Gere,
Chicago film producers Marty Richards and Harvey Weinstein, and a host of dance and Broadway well-wishers.
