When you think of playwright David Mamet the words "riotous farce" may not immediately come to mind. Nevertheless, the playwright's latest effort is just that.
Romance, which is far from romantic, opened at the Atlantic Theater Company on March 1. The edgy comedy features Larry Bryggman, Bob Balaban, Keith Nobbs and Christopher Evan Welch leading an all-male cast. To celebrate the new production, the cast, director Neil Pepe, a handful of celebs and a gaggle of Atlantic bigwigs descended on hip hangout Lotus following the opening night performance.
