Rooms' Kritzer and Kreeger Hit the Studio for Cast Recording

Rooms: A Rock Romance may have ended its run on May 10 at New World Stages, but the music plays on for fans of the punky two-person show and its stars, Leslie Kritzer and Doug Kreeger. The pair stepped into the studio on May 11 to put down tracks for the original off-Broadway cast recording, ensuring their dynamic vocals and composer Paul Scott Goodman’s multifaceted songs will have a life that goes far beyond the stage. Kritzer and Kreeger starred as Monica and Ian, a mismatched but uber-talented rock duo who take their musical collaboration to the next level while trying to make it big in the 1970s. The album was produced by multiple Grammy Award winner Robert Sher (the man behind the recent Gypsy revival cast recording), and will be released later this spring.
