Rubbing Elbows with Stage Celebs at the 2009 Olivier Awards
There were stars everywhere you looked at the 33rd Annual Laurence Olivier Awards. The event, a gleefully boozy schmoozefest, was held at London's Grosvenor Hotel on March 8. Top honors went to the Tony-winning musical Jersey Boys, the National Theatre of Scotland's production of Gregory Burke's Black Watch and the Donmar Warehouse, which had garnered a total of 13 nominations, and picked up four trophies. Yasmina Reza’s new work, God of Carnage, which is in the midst of a Broadway transfer (it opens on March 22) won Best Comedy. So who was at the fab ceremony? We won't bore you by name-dropping a whole list. Click on to rub elbows with the West End's elite!
