Seasonal Snapshots: Backstage at In the Heights

Starry skylines, the crinkle of wrapping paper, the smell of Cuban coffee wafting through dressing rooms—it’s officially Christmastime at In the Heights. And it turns out that Broadway’s Marcy Harriell, now appearing as neighborhood spitfire Vanessa, has more than just a fantastic voice and stage presence—she’s also one of Santa’s most dedicated helpers, one who’s happy to share photographic evidence of her show’s holiday cheer. As you’ll see, the Heights family has turned their home away from home into a winter wonderland by decking the halls of the Richard Rodgers Theater with seasonal snowscapes, adorning dressing room doors and taking time to gather for a spirited holiday meal.
