At the April 6 opening of Paul Weitz's new off-Broadway comedy Show People, a slew of thesbic-theater-y types, well, showed up! The Second Stage production, which stars Ty Burrell, Judy Greer, Lawrence Pressman and Tony winner Debra Monk, was directed by Hedwig and the Angry Inch's Peter Askin, who also helmed Weitz's Privilege at Second Stage last season. After the performance, the company and their family and friends celebrated with a party around the corner from the midtown theater company, at Robert Emmett's restaurant on 44 Street and 8th Avenue.
