Tony-nominated musical Shrek had a sweet anniversary to celebrate back in March: its 100th performance! The event was made much sweeter than usual, however, by the arrival of the tasty TV cooking competition Food Network Challenge. The series, which pits professional cooks against one another in a culinary showdown, brought out a quartet of pastry chefs to compete, assigning each one of Shrek’s leading characters and serving orders to bake the ultimate confection in their star’s likeness. Brian d’Arcy James, Sutton Foster, Daniel Breaker and Christopher Sieber looked on as their Shrek, Fiona, Donkey and Lord Farquaad were mixed, baked and frosted to perfection, while co-star John Tartaglia got in on the lip-smacking action as a guest judge.
