In an effort to develop new and emerging playwrights, Roundabout Theatre Company made their first official offering in their Roundabout Underground program on Monday, October 29, at the new Black Box Theatre in the basement of the Laura Pels Theatre on West 46th Street with the premiere of 27-year old Stephen Karam's new play
Speech & Debate, about a trio of teenage misfits grappling with a sex scandal at their high school. Directed by

Speech & Debate stars
Spring Awakening original cast member Gideon Glick (and current NYU undergrad) and two former child movie actors who are now both enrolled at Columbia University, Jason Fuchs (
Flipper, Spooky House) and Sarah Steele (
Spanglish and upcoming
Margaret). Rounding out the cast as the official grown-up,
