Stars Catch The Fever from Wallace Shawn

Recreating his 1991 Obie Award-winning monologue The Fever, playwright/performer Wallace Shawn opened the 80-minute philosophical rant—exploring the depths (or is it posturing?) of liberal-minded political and social standards during a time of war—at the New Group's midtown residency at the Acorn Theatre on January 24. As now helmed by frequent collaborator Scott Elliott (The Threepenny Opera, Aunt Dan and Lemon), Shawn and his director welcomed a starry roster of New Group alums to the company's latest opening night. Check out the party at Port Authority's new hideway, Metro Marche.
