Stars Let Down Their Hair for The Actors' Fund
The African flatlands were invaded by a group of more than 60 hippies on September 20. Yes, it was The Lion King's dark night, and instead of the Disney tuner, the crowds camed to the New Amsterdam Theatre to rock out to a star-studded performance of Hair. The cast of Broadway performers "Let the Sun Shine In" on Galt MacDermot's music and Gerome Ragni and James Rado's book and lyrics. The performance, which featured direction and choreography by Christopher Gattelli and Devanand Janki, marked the Actor's Fund of America's fourth annual benefit concert. Peace, man!
