Only on Broadway.com! An eclectic pack of fans and family of
Sutton Foster packed into the Kaplan Penthouse at Lincoln Center for two sold-out performances of the Tony winner's cabaret debut. Part of the
American Songbook series, the hour-long show offered Foster the chance to show off her versatility with selections by songwriters like Lynn Ahrens, Leonard Bernstein, John Bucchino, Noel Coward, John Denver, Stephen Flaherty, Oscar Hammerstein, Lorenz Hart, Rupert Holmes and Richard Rodgers. Then, just to remind us all of the magic that won her a Tony two years ago, Foster ended with a showstopping rendition of "Gimme Gimme" by Jeanine Tesori and Dick Scanlan from
Thoroughly Modern Millie. Great show, Sutton!
