The Roundabout Honors a Giant of the Theater: Stephen Sondheim
The Roundabout Theatre Company presented Stephen Sondheim with the Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre on April 11 at Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers. Scott Ellis directed the one-night-only tribute, which turned out to be an original music revue with an all-star Broadway roster. Of course, the Roundabout is a longtime Sondheim supporter. Last year the company featured two of his works: the Tony-winning Assassins and Pacific Overtures. Take a look at this special night for a giant of the theater.
