The Story of My Life’s Big Broadway Bow
Two and a half years after its world premiere in Toronto, The Story of My Life made its official Broadway debut at the Booth Theatre on February 19. The new musical stars Tony Award nominee Malcolm Gets and Will Chase, in his first Broadway performance since closing Rent last fall, as childhood friends who look back on their lives after growing up and apart. Created by composer Neil Bartram and writer Brian Hill (both are Broadway newbies), the two-hander uses a subtle yet sweet score and a minimalist stage design to tell a tale anyone who’s lived past the age of 13 can relate to.
