Toasting an Opening High Above a Wonderful Town
It took Wonderful Town 50 years to make it back to the Broadway stage. This new production, featuring Donna Murphy and Jennifer Westfeldt in the central roles of Ruth and Eileen Sherwood, opened on November 23 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre to the roar of a glittering opening night crowd. After the bows, the cast and well-wishers toasted the show high above New York in the ballroom of the brand new Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Columbus Circle.
