The hills of Central Park were alive with the sound of rejoicing on November 10. Original cast members (including the luminous Julie Andrews) of Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic film The Sound of Music reunited to celebrate the release of the 40th Anniversary Special Edition DVD at Tavern on the Green on that day. The beloved musical movie first appeared in theaters in 1965 and won five Academy Awards, including Best Picture. Four decades later, viewers are still in love with the story of the family that sings together and stays together.
