With a house packed with fellow tough guy movie stars, Chazz Palminteri rekindled the flame of his semi-autobiographical one-man show
A Bronx Tale at the Walter Kerr Theatre on October 24, officially making his Broadway debut. The play, detailing his childhood relationships in the 1960s with his dad (a NYC bus driver) as well as a slick mafia guy at the corner of 187th Street and Belmont Avenue who mentors the young Chazz, was first produced off-Broadway in 1989 and subsequently adapted for a feature film in 1993, directed by and co-starring Robert De Niro. The Oscar-winning De Niro attended Palminteri's opening night party at Bond 45, along with Harvey Keitel, Stephen Baldwin, Joe Pantoliano, Fran Drescher and a bunch of other famous rough 'n' tumble New Yorkers.
