A Smashing Soiree for B'way's Streetcar
The paparazzi was yelling "Natasha!" not "Stella!" at the smashing opening of the Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of A Streetcar Named Desire. The reason for that, of course, is that the role of Blanche DuBois is played by Natasha Richardson. She is joined in the cast by John C. Reilly as Stanley, Amy Ryan as Stella and Chris Bauer as Mitch. After the searing opening night performance at Studio 54, the company headed to Guastavino's for a fitting fete for the classic drama.
