In the middle-eastern town of Agrabah, Princess Jasmine is feeling hemmed in by her father’s desire to find her a royal groom. Meanwhile, the Sultan’s right-hand man, Jafar, is plotting to take over the throne. When Jasmine sneaks out of the palace incognito, she forms an instant connection with Aladdin, a charming street urchin and reformed thief.
After being discovered together, Aladdin is sentenced to death, but Jafar saves him by ordering him to fetch a lamp from the Cave of Wonders. Where there’s a lamp, there’s a Genie, and once Aladdin unwittingly lets this one out, anything can happen! Will Aladdin’s new identity as “Prince Ali” help him win Jasmine’s heart and thwart Jafar’s evil plans? Will the Genie’s wish for freedom ever come true?
"Loved the casting! Aladdin was spot on, Iago was hilarious, the Genie must have an amazing workout routine to spit out his lines that fast, go into song and still manage all that dancing! For a Disney child it was exactly what it should be, the moments you don’t want to be let down by certainly didn’t disappoint- would definitely see it again!"

"We had front row seats, and loved them. The only thing we missed about the front row was seeing their feet during the tap segments. Loved that the girls were not dressed provocatively. The i understudy for Jasmine did a great job and the genie was hilarious!"

"We brought our two teenage daughters to New York for the first time. This was their most favorite part of the trip. My husband was blown away and he is a huge fan of live performance art although he had no idea he would like it this much. Now he wants to see a show every time we visit. I knew I would love the performance and I was absolutely impressed with the talent and production of the whole team. The music was wonderfully noteworthy. The Amsterdam historic theatre just made it all the more memorable. Only negative was we had gridlock traffic surrounding us from our hotel in Soho all the way past midtown and into Times Square. We just made it in time thanks to our Uber driving working some local magic. An extra 30-45 minutes would be advisable for traffic even on weekdays. Thankfully the staff was so professional and courteous we made it through the crowds outside and to our seats just in the nick of time to make the opening act! It was fantastic. I'm glad we sprang for the orchestra seats for the kids to be close. Although I feel the balcony seats would be great as well. The theatre has a max impact view all around. Well done!"

"The music and set design were above par. However, unlike the Lion King the song melody's didn’t stick. That said there were a couple really stand out sets that were standing ovation worthy. I would definitely take the kids probably to the 2:pm showing as the evening event gets out pretty late."

"I was familiar with the Aladdin story from watching the animated movie back in 1992. This musical Broadway show was entertaining and stayed pretty close to this story line.
The set design was very intricate and detailed and really transported the audience to a Middle Eastern bazaar. The costumes and outfits of the cast members were colorful and really added to the overall ambiance and atmosphere to the play.
I enjoyed the songs, although it would have nice to hear some Arabic words or more authentic Arabic music in this production.
My favorite performance was from the Genie, as he really seemed to enjoy his part and was very funny and colorful throughout the play. Also, enjoyed the performances of Jafar, Princess Jasmine, and of course, Aladdin himself.
All in all, had a great time watching this play and would recommend it to anyone, especially people with children."
