The Original Cast Recording of Bernarda Alba
On Monday, March 27, at New York's Right Track studios, the original cast album of Michael John LaChiusa's haunting new musical, Bernarda Alba, was recorded. Conducted by Deborah Abramson and produced by Joel Moss for Ghostlight Records, the album will feature the critically acclaimed cast from the recent Lincoln Center Theater production headed by Phylicia Rashad, with Daphne Rubin-Vega, Yolande Bavan, Judith Blazer, Candy Buckley, Nikki M. James, Sally Murphy, Saundra Santiago, Laura Shoop and Nancy Ticotin. The show runs at LCT's Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater through April 9. To see the making of the album of Bernarda Alba, click on.
