Broadway's Billy Elliot is packed with Tony Award honored triple-threats (Tony winning title stars Kiril Kulish, David Alvarez and Trent Kowalik; Tony Award nominees Carole Shelley, Haydn Gwynne and David Bologna; and Tony Award winner Gregory Jbara, just to name a few), so mixing and mingling with uber-talented award holders is just part of the cast's daily routine. The acclaimed bunch of board trotters did get good and worked up, however, during a visit from quintuple-threat and Broadway heavyweight Tommy Tune, who dropped by the show September 8 to see what all the fuss over the 10-time Tony Award winning show is about. Tune, himself a Tony Award winning dancer, actor, singer, director and choreographer had nothing but glowing reviews for the Billy Elliot bunch, who took turns dancing their way over for photos and conversation with the stage stalwart. Tune made sure to congratulate departing stars Kiril Kulish, David Bologna and Haydn Gwynne in particular, wishing them luck before their previously announced departures in the last week of September and first week of October. Click on to say hello, and goodbye, with Tommy Tune himself.
