All hail Angela Lansbury! That was the consensus at the starry opening night of Blithe Spirit on March 15 at Broadway’s Shubert Theatre. The four-time Tony Award winner was greeted with minute of applause when she made her entrance as Madame Arcati, and her performance as the daffy medium in Noel Coward’s classic comedy was delightful from start to finish. After Lansbury and co-stars Rupert Everett, Christine Ebersole (as the title ghost) and Jayne Atkinson took their bows, they headed across 44th Street to a swanky opening night soiree at Sardi’s. Take a look at the wide variety of celebs who made the scene!
