If laughter is the best medicine, then the cast of Bye Bye Birdie got a double-dose (hey, it takes a lot of energy to keep a big Broadway musical in tip-top shape eight shows a week) on October 14, when Golden Era funnyman Don Rickles and screen regular Bob Saget popped in at the new revival. Saget and Stamos go way back, of course--they were the family-friendly stars of hit series Full House. And Rickels? Well, he's just the sort of comic curmudgeon you want on hand when the set breaks down. Yes, the Bye Bye Birdie set had a minor mishap during the night's performance, prompting Stamos and Saget to entertain the audience with impromptu stand-up act until the issue was resolved, with Rickels winging zingers from the crowd. Luckily, the show soon got rolling again, and Saget and Rickels got a chance to visit Stamos (without an audience) after the performance was all over. Click on to check out their get-together!
